Anna Paliwoda

Lisbon-based Polish violinist Anna Paliwoda studied in her hometown and then in Poznan, before heading to Madrid in 2013 to study at Reina Sofia School with Marco Rizzi and Diemut Poppen. She won 1st. Prize at the 2019 Estoril Competition. Anna gained orchestral experience playing with Reina Sofia School’s symphony and chamber orchestras (2013-17) and the Basque National Orchestra (2017). At the invitation of Diemut Poppen, she performed at Lisbon’s Cantabile Festival of chamber music. As a soloist, she played with Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra and Gulbenkian Orchestra She is now principal second violinist of Gulbenkian Orchestra.
