Manuel de Almeida-Ferrer

Born in Vila Nova de Gaia, Manuel de Almeida-Ferrer has performed in various international stages in countries such as the United Kingdom, Portugal, Belgium, Germany and China. He is a laureate in several competitions, including Prémio Jovens Músicos, Vasco Barbosa, Verão Clássico, Triomphe de l’Art e La Follia Nuova. He has been involved in several chamber music groups and projects and has performed in multiple festivals and concerts. He is currently the violinist of Trio Jakob with whom he has won competitions in Andorra, Spain and Italy. Manuel began his musical studies with Marylin Brito and later joined the class of Gareguin Aroutiounian. Since 2014, he has studied with teachers Alissa Margulis and Jack Liebeck, at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen and the Royal Academy of Music in London. He is currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Ilya Grubert.
