The DSCH - Shostakovich Ensemble is considered one of the top ensembles in the current international scene. Based in Lisbon since its foundation, by the pianist and artistic director Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro, it is a mixed-format chamber group and constitutes a platform for meeting and interaction of excellent musicians. \nIt was created in 2006, the centenary year of the birth of the composer Dmitri Shostakovich, to whom it owes its name, and since then it has performed in several seasons and festivals, in Europe and in the USA. \nThe ensemble\u2019s vast repertoire includes works by composers from different eras and musical styles, from Beethoven to Schumann, from Mozart to Messiaen, from Haydn to Webern, from Brahms to Ravel, including contemporaries, such as Sofia Gubaidulina. \nThroughout its existence, the DSCH has had the collaboration of outstanding musicians, such as G\u00e9rard Causs\u00e9, Adrian Brendel, Lars Anders Tomter, Corey Cerovsek, Tedi Papavrami, Gary Hoffman, Kyril Zlotnikov, Pascal Moragu\u00e8s, Esther Hoppe, Christian Polt\u00e9ra, Liza Ferschtman, Jack Liebeck, among many others. \nSome of its concerts were recorded and broadcast by RTP Antena 2 and the French television channel Mezzo.\nIn 2018, it institutes the DSCH - Shostakovich Ensemble Composition Prize, which aims to recognize, encourage and disclose the portuguese contemporary music, rewarding the work and path of merit of a portuguese composer of reference. Lu\u00eds Tinoco and Eurico Carrapatoso were distinguished in 2019 and 2021.\nDSCH\u2019s discography includes the 1st world recording of Shostakovich\u2019s Complete Chamber Music for Piano and Strings and Beethoven\u2019s Opus 11 and 38 Trios (Paraty\/Harmonia Mundi), albums that received top distinctions from the international specialized press.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
