Recent winner of the Elizabeth Connell Prize and the Eva Marton Prize, the Turkish-German singer brings her unique cultural background and artistry to each role she performs. \nShe studied Lied and concert repertoire at the University of Music Mannheim and holds an Artist Diploma from the Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington (USA). In the last years she has been working on her vocal development with Oylun Erdayi and Sherman Lowe. \nThroughout the course of her career, Deniz has worked with conductors such as Marco Armiliato, William Christie, Tom\u00e1\u0161 Hanus, Jakup Hr\u016f\u0161a, Vladimir Jurovski, Gianandrea Noseda, Kirill Petrenko, Vasily Petrenko, Nello Santi, Markus Poschner and Simone Young, as well as with directors Calixto Bieito, Robert Carsen, Jan Essinger, Andreas Homoki, Nina Russi, Dmitri Tcherniakov and Krzysztof Warlikowski.\nThe mezzo-soprano was a member at the Opernhaus Z\u00fcrich Ensemble from the 2016 to 2021, where she appeared in title roles as H\u00e4nsel\/H\u00e4nsel und Gretel, L\u2019Enfant\/L\u2019Enfant et les sortil\u00e8ges, Zelim\/La verit\u00e0 in cimento, Jacob\/Gold! and Ronja\/Ronja R\u00e4ubertochter.\nHer 2021\/22 season included several exciting role debuts such as Dido (Dido and Aeneas) at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Olga (Eugene Onegin) at the Komische Oper and the title roles in Zanetto ( Mascagni) in concert version touring in Switzerland and Carmen at the Landestheater Salzburg under the direction of Andrea Bernard and under the baton of Gabriel Venzago, as well as her debut at the Festival de Beaune as Isaura (Tancredi).\nShe joined the ensemble of the Komische Oper Berlin for the 2022\/23 season, appearing as Una Donna (Intolleranza 1960), Meg Page (Falstaff) and Third Lady (Magic Flute) as well as Dorabella (Cos\u00ec fan tutte) in a Kirill Serebrennikov production. Guest engagements lead her to house and role debuts as Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova under the baton of Fabio Luisi and as Waltraute (G\u00f6tterd\u00e4mmerung) at the Wagner Days 2023 of the M\u00fcpa Budapest.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
