Alberto Mesirca is one of the most celebrated guitarists of the younger generation. After graduating from Castelfranco Veneto Conservatory, he went on to study with Wolfgang Lendle at Kassel\u2019s Musikakademie. \nAlberto pursues an active career performing around the world as a soloist, in duo, in chamber music and with orchestra, and he also enjoys sharing his knowledge giving lectures, courses or masterclasses. \nHis repertory ranges from the Renaissance to new music, the latter including premieres of works by Leo Brouwer, Dusan Bogdanovic and Gy\u00f6rgy Kurt\u00e1g. He was responsible, in collaboration with Hopkinson Smith and Franco Pavan, for the modern edition (Orphee) of the \u2018Fantasie\u2019 by Renaissance composer Francesco da Milano from a 1565 lute music manuscript kept at Castelfranco Veneto\u2019s Archivio del Duomo. \nAlberto was a member of violinist\u2019s Hugo Ticciati\u2019s Ensemble O\/Modernt that won Gramophone magazine\u2019s Concept Album Award in 2020 for their \u2018Chaconne\u2019 CD. He was also awarded two \u2018chitarre d\u2019oro\u2019 at the 2007 and 2013 International Guitar Meeting of Alessandria (Piedmont) for two other recordings. He has also recorded Sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti that he himself transcribed for Curci. His ongoing projects involve recording Giuliani\u2019s flute and guitar Duos and Paganini\u2019s Quartets for guitar and string trio. \nFrom 2018, Alberto has been a teacher at Bari\u2019s Niccol\u00f2 Piccinni Conservatory.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
