Lu\u00eds Duarte Moreira started his Horn studies at Escola Profissional Art\u00edstica do Vale do Ave. Then he entered Escola Superior de M\u00fasica e Artes do Espet\u00e1culo in Oporto, where he studied with the professors Abel Pereira, Bohdan Sebestik and Nuno Vaz, ending his studies with maximum distinction. \nLater, he studied in the class of the professor Marie-Luise Neunecker in the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where he finished his master in performance with maximum grade.\nHe won the first prize in several contests, such as Concurso Internacional de Instrumentos de Sopro \u201cTerras de La-Salette\u201d, in junior and senior categories, Pr\u00e9mio Jovens M\u00fasicos 2017 and Concurso Internacional de Sopros do Alto Minho. In 2016, he won the second prize in the Internationaler Instrumentalwettbewerb Markneukirschen and received an Honorable Mention in the Prague Spring contest. He also won the second prize of Pr\u00e9mio Jovens M\u00fasicos 2015 in the chamber music category with his Klaue Wind Quintet.\nLu\u00eds has played as a soloist with Orquestra ARTAVE, Philharmonisches Orchester Plaue Zwickau, Orquestra Gulbenkian and with Banda Sinf\u00f3nica Portuguesa. As an orchestra musician, he has worked with orchestras such as Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica APROARTE, Sinf\u00f3nica da ESMAE, Est\u00e1gio Gulbenkian para Orquestra, Orquestra Jovem Sinf\u00f3nica da Galiza, Landesjugendorchester Bremen, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Orquestra Est\u00fadio, as A soloist, Banda Sinf\u00f3nica Portuguesa, Orquestra Filarmonia da Beiras, Orquestra XXI, Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica da Galiza e Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica do Porto - Casa da M\u00fasica.\nHe is now a member of Orquestra Gulbenkian as principal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
