Carolina Alves has been collaborating with the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra since 2017. Throughout her career, she has performed and recorded with various ensembles and orchestras, including the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the Porto Symphony Orchestra Casa da Música, the Southern Classical Orchestra, the Al Bustan Festival Orchestra, the Orquestra d’Artes de Almada, and the OpuSpiritum Ensemble.
During her academic training, she was selected to join prestigious youth orchestras such as the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée, Young Franco-German-Hungarian Philharmonics, Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa Zero, and the European Union Youth Orchestra, performing under the baton of renowned conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Vasily Petrenko, Bernard Haitink, Hannu Lintu, and David Alan Miller. She has performed in major concert halls, such as Het Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Konzerthaus (Berlin), Radio Hall (Bratislava), and the Concert Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic.
Carolina Alves regularly appears as a soloist, having performed with the Orquestra de Sopros da Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras, Ensemble de Metais de Leiria, and OpuSpiritum Ensemble.
She holds a Master’s in Teaching from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and a Master’s in Performance from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig (Germany), where she studied with the esteemed professor Guido Segers.
