The Ensemble Tra Noi is a vibrant and visionary group that brings a fresh perspective to early music. Comprising recorder, baroque violin, viola da gamba, and harpsichord, the ensemble combines historically informed performance practice with a spirit of experimentation and innovation. Its members are specialists in early music, yet remain deeply engaged with the present, crafting programs that bridge centuries through creative juxtapositions, contemporary works, and boundary-pushing concert formats.
Tra Noi's approach is rooted in a desire to make historical music resonate with today’s audiences, creating performances that are both intellectually rigorous and emotionally compelling.
The ensemble has received growing international acclaim. In 2024, Tra Noi won First Prize at the prestigious Concours International de Musique Ancienne du Val de Loire and also received the Audience Prize at the Händel Göttingen Competition. In 2023, the group was awarded the Wiener Konzerthaus Prize at the H.I.F. Biber Competition, as well as the Audience Prize at the Biagio Marini Competition — a testament to both their artistry and their captivating stage presence.
Tra Noi has been featured at major early music festivals across Europe, including Resonanzen at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, and FEL!X Originalklang at the Kölner Philharmonie, among others.
