Bianca Cucini

Born in Florence, Bianca Cucini began her musical studies at the age of four with piano, and at seven took up the viola da gamba at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, where she studied with Bettina Hoffmann until 2019. Since 2020, she has been studying at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel with Paolo Pandolfo, where she is currently completing her Master’s degree in Music Performance.

She performs regularly in Switzerland — at festivals such as the Erasmus Klingt Festival and Les Riches Heures de Valère Sion Festival — and in Germany, including appearances at the Internationale Händel Festspiele Göttingen, Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci and Fel!x Festival at the Kölner Philharmonie. Her collaborations also extend to Italy, SpainFestival Contratemps in San Cugat – Barcelona), France, BelgiumBrussels Early Music Festival FestiVita!), the Czech Republic, Austria (Innsbrucker Festwochen) , and Lithuania.

Her collaborations also extend to Italy, Spain (Festival Contratemps in San Cugat – Barcelona), France, Belgium (Brussels Early Music Festival FestiVita!), the Czech Republic, Austria (Innsbrucker Festwochen)As a member of various ensembles, Bianca has received multiple accolades: she won the Sanssouci Competition in Potsdam in 2023, the Publikumspreis at the Händel Competition in Göttingen in 2024, and First Prize at the Biagio Marini Competition in Neuburg in the same year. She regularly collaborates with renowned Baroque ensembles such as Gli Incogniti, Voces Suaves, Theatro dei Cervelli, and Concerto Scirocco. Among her most recent engagements are three concerts in Switzerland with Gli Incogniti and Amandine Beyer, where she appeared as principal viola da gamba player.
