Frederico Projecto

Frederico Projecto began his musical studies at the age of eight, in the Guitar course at the Regional Conservatory of Setúbal, and in 2006, he enrolled in the Singing course at the National Music School of Lisbon Conservatory. He holds a degree in Choral Conducting and Musical Training from the Lisbon Higher School of Music, and attended the Orchestra Conducting degree program for three years at the National Superior Academy of Orchestra, studying with Professor Jean-Marc Burfin.
In 2011, he made his debut as a soloist in "Momente" by K. Stockhausen, conducted by maestro Peter Eötvös, at the Grand Auditorium of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and since then has regularly performed as a soloist in symphonic repertoire, singing "Pulcinella" by I. Stravinsky with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra at the CCB; the "Cantata Hodie festa sunt dicata" by A. Duni at the Duni Festival in Matera, Italy, with the Americantiga Ensemble; and Mozart's "Requiem" with the Canova Orchestra at the Sintra Festival.
In the field of Opera/Oratorio, he has appeared as Tamino at Operafest, in the Portuguese version of "The Magic Flute" by W. A. Mozart; he also sang the role of Nemorino in G. Donizetti's "L'Elisir d'Amore" at the Centro Cultural de Belém, with the Metropolitan Orchestra, and more recently at the Oceanos Auditorium with the Opera Studio Encontro de Sons; the role of Visitor in the opera "In the Penal Colony" by P. Glass, at the São Luiz Theater; Don Luigino in G. Rossini's opera "Il Viaggio a Reims" at the CCB; he interpreted the role of "Homem" in the opera "O Tempo (Somos Nós)" by F. Fontes, P. Lima, and N. da Rocha, as part of the "TRACTION" project - Opera in Prison, presented at the Grand Auditorium of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; and more recently, he was part of the cast of soloists in the CD recording of the oratorio "Theodora" by G. F. Handel, with the Capella Mediterranea, under the direction of Leonardo García Alarcón.
