Gustavo Rebelo

Gustavo Rebelo was born in 2001 and began his musical studies at the age of 8 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Aveiro. He is currently studying in the class of Prof. William Coleman at the prestigious Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria. His studies are also regularly guided by Prof. Ana Bela Chaves.
Since 2022, he has been a scholarship holder of the “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now” foundation in Salzburg.

Gustavo has participated in several national and international music competitions, receiving distinctions such as 1st prize at the “Golden Classical Music Awards” (USA), along with an invitation to perform at Weill Recital Hall, 1st prize at the “Paços’ Premium” Competition (Portugal), 2nd prize at the Vigo International String Competition (Spain), and 2nd prize at the Verão Clássico Festival, among others.
Throughout his academic career, he has taken part in various masterclasses and courses led by renowned professors such as Miguel da Silva, Francien Schatborn, Tatjana Masurenko, Maté Szucs, Leo De Neve, Gérard Caussé, Hariolf Schlichtig, Kim Kashkashian, Thomas Riebl, William Coleman, Lars Anders Tomter, Nobuko Imai, Hartmut Rohde, Wilfried Strehle, and Ana Bela Chaves.

In the field of chamber music, his studies have been significantly enriched by pedagogues and musicians such as Ana Bela Chaves, William Coleman, Lars Anders Tomter, Cibrán Sierra Vázquez, Oliver Wille, and Rainer Schmidt. He has performed in concerts with the Agon Ensemble (Italy) and the Juventus Ensemble (Portugal), among others.

During his studies, he has collaborated with several youth and professional orchestras such as the München Bach-Orchester, München Chamber Orchestra, Bayerisches Kammerorchester Bad Brückenau, Kammerphilharmonie Landshut, and Philharmonie Salzburg.
