Carolina Alves collaborates with the Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras since 2017. She has performed and recorded with several groups and orchestras such as Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, Orquestra Clássica do Sul, Al Bustan Festival Orchestra, Orquestra d’Artes de Almada and OpuSpiritum Ensemble. As part of her academic experience, she was selected for the Orchestre des Jeunes de La Méditerranée, Young Franco-German-Hungarian Philharmonics, Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa Zero and European Union Youth Orchestra, playing with renowned conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Vasily Petrenko, Bernard Haitink, Hannu Lintu and David Alan Miller in major venues such as Het Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Konzerthaus in Berlin, Radio Hall in Bratislava and Warsaw Philharmonic’s Concert Hall. Carolina performs regularly as a soloist, playing with Orquestra de Sopros da Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras, Ensemble de Metais de Leiria and OpuSpiritum Ensemble. She holds Master’s Degrees from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and Hochschule für Musik und Theatre in Leipzig (Germany), where she studied with Professor Guido Segers.
