Joana Moreira was born in Porto and graduated in the Art School of The Portuguese Catholic University in the class of Professor Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro, where she completed her Masters in Musical Performance and Music Teaching. Later she continued her studies in Chamber Music at the Antwerp Royal Conservatoire. Joana has participated in masterclasses with professors such as Yuri Serov, Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro, Eldar Nebolsin, Jan Michiels, Claudio Martinez Mehner, Rosa Maria Barrantes and Pavel Nersessian. Joana Moreira performed solo with Orquestra ARTAVE and Orquestra do Norte with the conductors Luís Machado and Franz Albanese. She collaborated in “A Música de Junqueiro” (book and double CD) , inside the project “Revisitar/descobrir Guerra Junqueiro”. Joana co-founded the project beOMNI with the bass baritone Miguel Maduro-Dias. She has been dedicated to Chamber Music repertoire, playing in concerts with the violinist Ana Catarina Lopes Pinto, trumpetist Ruben Castro, soprano Ana Maria Pinto and António Victorino d’Almeida, among others. She was a collaborative pianist in Conservatório Superior de Gaia and currently teaches piano in Fundação Conservatório Regional de Gaia.
