Parya Moulaei

Parya Moulaei is a cellist born in 2002 in Tehran, Iran. She began her cello studies at the age of eight. Between 2014 and 2020, she attended the Tehran Conservatory of Music and later moved to Berlin to further her musical training under the guidance of the renowned cellist and professor Frans Helmerson.

She is a prizewinner of several national and international competitions, including the Milan International Cello Competition, the Iranian National Youth Competition, and the Crescendo National Competition, achievements that highlight her artistic maturity and technical finesse at a young age.

Parya has participated in various prestigious orchestral and chamber music festivals. She served as Principal Cello and Section Leader in the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Academy Orchestra under the direction of Christoph Eschenbach, and was a member of the Barenboim-Said Academy Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Barenboim. She was also selected for the Vienna Symphony Orchestra Academy, performing at the Bregenz Festival.

In chamber music, Parya Moulaei has collaborated with young musicians from around the world in projects held in Germany, Austria, and Iran.

She is currently pursuing her higher studies in Berlin at the Barenboim-Said Academy, building a promising career that combines expressive depth, rigor, and an intimate connection to her instrument.
